OTTERS, flamingos and penguins were among the animals that enjoyed the snow at Costwold Wildlife Park, but most remained stuck inside as the attraction was shut due to bad weather.
Keepers snapped this photo of a red panda curling up to keep warm, but staff said that while wolverines and wolves – among some others – were allowed out to frolic, most animals were inside for their own safety.
The park near Burford has been closed since Sunday and anticipates that it will not reopen until Saturday.
Staff were unable to get to work, and those who did get their had to spend much of their time keeping the animals safe, although they did find some time for photos.
Jamie Craig, curator of Cotswold Wildlife Park & Gardens, said: “All the animals have heated houses where needed and are currently unaware of the outside temperatures, unlike their keepers who are busy removing snow from the roof of the aviaries and clearing pathways.
"It's certainly not the weather for our tropical species but for a few, most notable the reindeer, wolverines, penguins and Pallas cats, it is a favourite time of year and they are revelling in the Arctic conditions."
