DRIVERS faced lengthy delays on the M40 southbound after a car fire blocked the carriageway.
Traffic reports showed delays of about half an hour for drivers on the London-bound carriageway.
Two lanes were closed until about 8am between J7 for Oxford and J6 for the B4009 and queues backed up to Wheatley.
There is a vehicle fire on the M40 London bound so we are diverting around this. Please expect some delays to the services.
