THE body of a 46-year-old man was discovered at a home in Greater Leys.
Officers from Thames Valley Police were called to a flat in Nightingale Avenue at about 11.15am yesterday.
Spokesman Jack Abell said the death was currently being treated as 'unexplained' and the man is thought to have been dead for 'some time'.
The RSPCA was also called to the flat and confirmed it took away two snakes from the property.
It is not yet known who found the body or if the death is being treated as suspicious.
A next-door neighbour told the Oxford Mail: "He had lived there for a few years. A police officer told me he died of natural causes."
