WEST Oxfordshire has been named the least-burgled place in Britain in a new survey by a home security firm.
The district recorded an average of 1.7 break-ins per 1,000 homes compared to the most at-risk area, Manchester, with 23 burglaries per 1,000 households.
Overall some 700,000 burglaries were reported in Britain last year, with the average value of property stolen coming in at £2,267.
The report from firm Nest was based on the results of the annual England and Wales Crime Survey as well as recorded data from 44 police forces across the UK.
