AN afternoon of music and readings is being staged by the Soldiers of Oxfordshire Museum as part of its Great War centenary commemorations.
The service, entitled 1916 A Remembrance, will take place at St Mary Magdelene Church in Woodstock on Sunday, at 3pm.
The event costing £20 will raise funds for the Park Street museum and for the Soldiers, Sailors, Airmen and Families Association.
Those taking part include actor Edward Fox, BBC arts correspondent Will Gompertz, BBC Radio 2 presenter Ken Bruce, and the Duke of Marlborough.
Music is being provided by the Waterloo Band of The Rifles, and the choirs of the Bladon and Woodstock churches.
