A band concert in Castle Gardens, Wallingford, on Sunday, July 15, will have special significance.
Town council member Lynda Atkins is organising a collection and refreshments in aid of the fund set up in memory of the late Bill Stickley and 'Sailor John' Beeton, who died last December.
Both men were wellknown fundraisers for various charities, but one campaign they both supported was the RNLI, the Royal National Lifeboat Institution.
Mr Beeton was a serving town councillor when he died. The open air concert begins at 3pm.
