EIGHT Oxford United supporters are currently banned from attending matches, Home Office figures revealed yesterday.
A total of 29 fans were also arrested during the League Two campaign last season.
U’s followers came out of figures, known as the ‘league of shame’ remarkably well compared to other teams in the division.
Bristol Rovers fans received the highest number of banning orders in the league with 47, followed by Plymouth Argyle with 37.
Out of the 29 Oxford fans arrested during last season, four were alcohol offences, three were pitch invasion, two for throwing missiles, nine of violent disorder and 10 for public disorder.
As well as being top of the Championship, Newcastle United also topped the league of shame with 124 fan banning orders as of the start of the this campaign. Rivals Swindon Town currently have 13 banning orders.
