ILLUMINATED bicycles will sparkle under the moonlight as Christmas celebrations hit the city tomorrow evening.
Cowley Road Works will bring its Lightbikes for Oxford project to life during the Christmas Light Festival, which starts tomorrow.
The team behind summer extravaganza Cowley Road Carnival will flaunt its dazzling bicycle installations during the three-day festivities in the city centre.
It comes after the team united with organisers of festival The Great British Bike Off, bike co-op Broken Spoke and artists from Magdalen Road Studios for the project.
The masterpieces will be displayed outside Broad Street’s Weston Library until Sunday.
Cowley Road Works’ outreach and volunteer co-ordinator Miff Crockford said: “Going forward for next year, our intention is to commission a number of professional artists, designers and makers to work alongside Broken Spoke to dream up and produce unique and spectacularly lit bikes and wheeled creations.”
