A pedestrian has died after being struck by a lorry in the early hours of this morning.

At around 12.15am today the man in his thirties was involved in the collision with a Volvo HGV near Banbury.

Thames Valley Police are now appealing for witnesses after the incident on the A423 Southam Road, Mollington.

Investigating officer, Sgt Sharon Scarffe of the Serious Collision Unit, said: ‘This was a tragic incident in which a man has sadly died.

“We are keen to speak to anyone who may have seen the pedestrian or vehicle in the lead up to the collision or the collision itself.

“If you have any information, please get in touch with me via the 24-hour non-emergency Thames Valley Police Enquiry Centre on 101 quoting reference 12 of 22 November.”
