Traffic was at a standstill on the M40 London-bound after a crash this morning.
The incident took place between 8am and 9am between J5 at Stokenchurch and the High Wycombe Handy Cross Roundabout.
Two lanes were blocked for several hours and tailbacks ran from High Wycombe to the Oxfordshire border at Lewknor.
Bus services run by Oxford Bus Company were on divert and faced delays of up to 60 minutes.

SERVICE UPDATE: Due to the earlier incident London bound journeys are now faced with delays of up to 60 minutes.

Two vehicles were reportedly involved in the crash.
The road was re-opened by midday but there is still some congestion on the M40 this afternoon.
