Rail passengers were hit by travel chaos tonight [Monday] as the rain battered the county and beyond.
Significant delays were reported for trains leaving Didcot train station as a result of flooding further south.
There were delays of up to 40 minutes on some trains leaving Oxford for the south.
Trains between Swindon and Bristol Parkway were particularly hit, with some services delayed by up to 60 minutes and trains cancelled.
Elsewhere, trains between Taunton and Bristol Temple Meads were also disrupted.
Across the country several train operators reported cancellations and long delays for passengers.
And passengers reacted with fury at the delays.
Chris Carter tweeted:

Trains in every platform at Swindon, and trains queuing outside. We’re bring held back at Didcot. Tomorrow’s 08.00 book-on is looking dodgy.

@saoirse_22 @GWRUK Is there anywhere better to be stuck than Didcot Parkway
