A woman driver was hurt after crashing her car into a bollard on Banbury Road this afternoon.
Traffic has been tailing back near Cutteslowe roundabout in North Oxford following the collision shortly after 3pm.
The accident happened at the junction with Wentworth Road and emergency services attended.
Oxfordshire County Council spokesman Paul Smith said one woman was hurt following the collision.
He said fire crews were at the scene but it was not necessary for them to rescue the woman from the vehicle.
South Central Ambulance Service spokesman David Gallagher said: "The driver was treated by a paramedic who attended in a rapid response vehicle."
Very slow traffic was being reported on the A40 westbound between the Wolvercote roundabout and the Eynsham roundabout.
