STUDENTS and staff have been evacuated from Christ Church after a fire broke out in the dining hall.
It is thought that a hot plate used to serve food caught fire in the 16th Century building earlier today.
Four engines from Oxfordshire Fire and Rescue Service attended the scene as smoke could be seen billowing from the windows to Tom Quad.
It is believed the fire was put out shortly before 2pm but the emergency services have yet to re-open the building to the public.
