Sir - I write in response to your report of May 25 and in support of Rosanne Bostock's letter of June 1.
A decision on the future of 14 play areas in Oxford is imminent. The draft action plan from the leisure department can be viewed via the Oxford City Council website and a further report is to be presented to council in July. Please let us give close scrutiny to any recommendations and decisions.
Children of all ages need open spaces and even if play equipment cannot be maintained and has to be removed, let the spaces remain for meeting and 'being'.
Once infilled they cannot be retrieved for future generations.
Liz Storrar, Oxford
