The widow of a former chairman of West Oxfordshire Conservative Association has been confirmed on David Cameron's controversial resignation honours list.
As a former Prime Minister Mr Cameron, who remains MP for Witney, is entitled to nominate people to receive honours- such as knighthoods- from the Queen.
Nicola Shale, the widow of former West Oxfordshire Conservative Association chairman Christopher Shale, will receive an MBE.
Mr Shale died in 2011 and his wife is involved in a not-for-profit project to build a cricket ground in the African country of Rwanda.
A number of Conservative MPs including former chancellor George Osborne, Defence Secretary Michael Fallon and Patrick McLoughlin are all to receive honours.
Craig Oliver, director of communications at Number 10 under David Cameron, and Andrew Cook, the former treasurer of the Conservatives, have also been recognised in the list.
The full list was published this evening and also confirms that Samantha Cameron's stylist Isabel Spearman will receive an OBE for political and public service.
