Students angered by the vote for Britain to leave the European Union gathered to protest in Oxford yesterday.
Dozens of young people took part in the 'not in our name' protest in Radcliffe Square following the result of Thursday's referendum.
Lincoln College student Alex Foley organised the protest in the hope that those opposed to Britain leaving the EU could continue to fight to stop that happening.
She said: "This matter is far from over.
"In the long, drawn out process to follow we must challenge Brexit at every stage.
"There is nothing legally binding about the results of the referendum and the vast majority of MPs do not back Brexit.
"Through collective action we students must fight for our futures and help prevent the fracturing of the United Kingdom and of Europe."
The event, which started at 2pm, included a minute's silence for murdered MP Jo Cox, followed by speeches and an open discussion.
