A DOG lover who was "devastated" by the theft of four of her beloved pets has found relief today after two more of them were found safe.

Stephanie Bliss, 66, fell victim to thieves who slashed open her garden fence in Faringdon and snatched three white Japanese Spitz dogs and one Cocker Spaniel.

They were taken on Saturday from her garden near the A420, next to her kennel business Charney Kennels & Pet Care Centre, while family members were inside the house.

Today Nici Pickering, spokeswoman for Find UK Dogs, revealed that two of them - Primrose, a one-year-old black and white Spaniel, and Japanese Spitz Dulcie, three - had been found in Coventry.

On Wednesday Japanese Spitz Kira, five, was reportedly found tied up in Templars Square retail park in Cowley, Oxford, and was returned home.

She said: "Once again due to exposure two more of the missing dogs have been located. This is great news.

"The cocker spaniel and one more spitz has been recovered following the warden checking 2 dogs tied up in Coventry.

"There is just Quincy the Male Spitz to locate now and we feel he will be given up somewhere publicly due to exposure in the media and socially."

A Facebook page set up to find the dogs, called '#FindFourDogs' has since gathered more than 2,000 members who are helping hunt down the 'dog-nappers'.

The family plastered posters around Oxfordshire in a desperate attempt to bring them home, advertising a £1,000 reward for their safe return.

Speaking after Kira was found, Mrs Bliss' daughter Carly Bridport, 41, said: "A lady called up and said she had seen two dogs in motor homes in the retail park. I drove over there straight away with my partner and son and there she was, tied up outside in the rain."

She said police released the dog and took her to Pets at Home in the retail park to check her microchip, before letting them take her home.

On Thursday Thames Valley Police confirmed that a 35-year-old woman from Bristol was arrested on suspicion of theft, and released on bail until May 12.

The remaining missing pooch is Japanese Spitz Quincy, two.

Ms Bridport, who lives at her mum's house with her partner Rob Spratley, her 13-year-old son Louie and Mrs Bliss' husband Ed, added: "We realised the dogs were missing when we went to take them for their walk. We were absolutely panic-stricken. My mum has been breeding and showing Japanese Spitz for 30 years, they are just our everything.

"We are just absolutely devastated. It's affected everything, we have just spent every moment ever since trying to find them."
