FAMILIES looking to escape Oxfordshire for the Bank Holiday weekend seem to have made it through the worst of the traffic, which is easing across the county.
Traffic on the M40 and A34 remains slow, but elsewhere the pace is beginning to pick up.
The A420 Eastbound was still particularly bad at the Botley Interchange, with congestion back to Cumnor, but delays are now clear.
This was due to delays on the A34 Northbound, where traffic was queuing around the A4185, Chilton Interchange.
The M40 is clogged-up between the Oxford and Cherwell Valley Services junctions.
Traffic is has eased on the A4142 Eastern By-Pass Road and the A40.
Oxford Bus Company cancelled several of its services to London in the thick of the congestion.
