A weather warning has been issued with a blast of cold weather set to hit Oxfordshire on Friday.
The Met Office has issued a yellow warning- the lowest level- for snow and ice.
The warning will be in effect from 3pm Friday until 9am on Saturday and people have been warned of the potential for difficult driving conditions and some travel disruption.
There could be snow on higher ground and at lower levels there will be sleet and rain.
Met Office chief forecaster Eddie Carroll said: "At this time it is likely that snow will largely be confined to higher ground above 200m to 400m however sleet and snow may temporarily fall to lower levels in heavier precipitation.
"A greater hazard will come from the potential for widespread ice to form as skies clear through the evening behind the front allowing road surface temperatures fall below freezing.
"The frontal precipitation may also result in some wash off of grit to allow freezing on previously treated surfaces."
