A 1938 MG police car is set to fetch more than £24,000 at auction next month.
The 78-year-old MG TA, once used to shuttle around the boys in blue and likely to have beeen made at the firm's old factory in Abingdon, will be sold at Historics at Brooklands auction house in Surrey.
It was first registered to Lancashire Police in February 1938, and was later bought by a car lover in Canada.
Until 2013 it was owned by an American who helped restore the car to its former glory before being returned to the UK.
Original MG cars were built in Oxford, but production was shifted a few miles south to Abingdon in 1929.
Production continued until the plant was closed amid huge protests in 1980.
The TA is one of more than 160 classic motor cars which will be on display at the Historics sale at Brooklands, Surrey on March 12.
All vehicles will be available for viewing on March 10 and 11.
