Heavy traffic through Islip following light failure
TRAFFIC lights have failed in Islip, causing a heavy stream of congestion into and out of the village.
The lights on Wheatley Road at Islip bridge are stuck on red, causing slow traffic both ways.
The route has become popular with commuters wanting to avoid road works on the A40.
Oxfordshire County Council set up the lights on the bridge over the River Ray in December, after residents campaigned against the danger of free-flowing traffic through the village.
