POLICE are yet to reveal why there were searching for three suspects in Oxford city centre last night.
A member of the public contacted the Oxford Mail reporting that more than a dozen police officers were in Cornmarket Street, with a helicopter circling overhead.
A spokeswoman for Thames Valley Police last night said she "could not confirm anything" at this stage, or reveal what crime the suspects were believed to have committed.
This morning another spokeswoman said they still did not yet have any information.
NPAS Benson tweeted that air crews were assisting officers with "locating three suspects".
Kline Morris, 19, from Oxford said he was walking down Cornmarket Street at about 5.15pm when he saw someone being arrested by police.
Mr Morris said: "I was just in town and I saw it happen. It was outside Boots. Police arrested one guy and then two others ran off."
More to follow.
