THE father of a child found dead in her mother’s home will today make an impassioned plea for information as a reward is offered in the murder investigation.

Nabil Dahane will address the media in the desperate hope somebody might help police in their hunt for the killer of his 20-month-old daughter Sarah.

Her body was discovered at a house in Herald Way, Glory Farm, Bicester, on May 16, 2013 – a day after her mum Angela Whitworth left the country. Police named the 20-month-old’s mother as a murder suspect, but there have been no arrests in connection with the case.

A reward is set to be offered by Thames Valley Police for any information that leads to an arrest and conviction, with the exact sum due to be announced today.

Speaking to the Oxford Mail in September 2014, Mr Dahane said he was not sure his ex-wife would ever return to the UK to answer police questions.

He said his daughter died when he was close to winning an 18-month custody battle.

He said: “I feel a bit let down by everybody – the police, social services, everything.”

NHS support worker Mr Dahane said he had thought about his daughter every day since her death, adding: “My life was completely wrecked.

“It is not something that is easy to overcome. It just stays with you.”

An Oxfordshire Safeguarding Children’s Board serious case review report, published in August 2014, found the death was neither preventable nor predictable.

Police spokeswoman Hannah Williams previously said it was a “complex and challenging investigation”.
