A FORMER Chelsea FC youth player from Oxfordshire who fell from the balcony of a Turkish hotel died accidentally, an inquest has ruled today.
Jordan Tabor, from Wootton near Abingdon, fell from the third floor room he was sharing with his girlfriend Danielle McEachran in the early hours of the morning, Oxfordshire Coroner's Court heard this afternoon.
Miss McEachran, Mr Tabor's mother Louise Bates and other family members attended the inquest hearing in Oxford in person to hear evidence read out.
Assistant coroner for Oxfordshire Jeremy Chipperfield said the couple had been holidaying with Miss McEachran's family at the beach resort of Antalya when the accident happened in July 2014.
He said all the evidence showed Mr Tabor, 23, had died accidentally and gave the medical cause of death as multiple injuries.
A statement from Miss McEachran suggested that Mr Tabor may have been sleepwalking at the time.
See tomorrow's Oxford Mail for a full report.
Mr Tabor's mother previously told the Oxford Mail he was a wonderful son and an amazing brother.
