The A40 London Road at Wheatley is partially blocked westbound towards Oxford after a car crashed into a barrier.
Very slow traffic is queuing for a mile from Waterperry Road to the B4027 after the incident, which took place close to the Oxford Brookes University Wheatley campus.
Routes used by Oxford Bus Company are being affected and travel services to Forest Hill, Sandhills and Risinghurst have been suspended.
South Central Ambulance Service spokesman David Gallagher said: "The accident was a single-car RTC that appears to gave gont into the barrier on the road.
"We were called at 16.37pm by an adult male who said he was uninjured."
Officers at the scene have also reported that no further action is required.
