POLICE have appealed to the public for help in tracking down a missing man.

Paul Noel, 58, was last see in St Thomas Street, Oxford, at about 10.30pm yesterday. 

Mr Noel has grey hair, brown eyes, is about 5ft 7ins, of medium build and may have stubble.

When he was last seen he was wearing a brown checked flat cap and a fur-lined denim jacket.

Police said Mr Noel is known to frequent Oxford city centre and also has links to Bristol.

He may have also travelled to London by public transport.

Inspector Stephen Hookham said: "Paul, if you’re reading this then please make contact with police so we know you are safe and well.

“I would appeal to anyone who has any information about Paul’s whereabouts to contact police as soon as possible. The easiest way to do this is by calling 101.

"Paul is known to frequent Oxford city centre but he also has links to Bristol. He may have also travelled to London by public transport. We are working with Avon and Somerset Police and British Transport Police to locate Paul."

If members of the public see him, the force said to call 101 and ask for the Oxford duty sergeant.
