EARLY risers were met with a glorious sunrise across the county yesterday which was quickly followed by a cold snap.
Readers sent in their own pictures of daybreak with a sea of colour spreading out across Oxfordshire’s skies.
But temperatures remained as low as 2C throughout the day and the Met Office warned heavy snow and ice could greet commuters as they make their way to work today.
But forecasetrs said children could be in for an end of half term treat with Oxford expected to be hit by three hours of snow overnight.
Families in Benson have an even better chance of being able to build a snowman, with the Met Office predicting a prolonged fluttering of snow starting at 3am until 9am.
