Finn Bliss fired a hat-trick for Wantage, with Kian Woodley, Ben Chandler and Billy Withers also on target.
But their efforts proved in vain as McEwan’s five goals, together with Jack Liu’s treble, gave Tigers an 8-6 victory.

Harry Benfield hit a five timer as Abingdon Youth beat Milton United 11-0 in the Under 14 C League.

Grove Challengers beat Bicester 4-2, thanks to a hat-trick from Arthur Tilley and a strike from Harry Robson.
Robert Cockroft and Lucas Lamche scored for Bicester.
Connor Barrett (3), Sandesh Limbu (2), Oluwapelumi Maxwell, Lewis Ryan and Zack Wainwright-Smith were on target as Littlemore Youth beat Hinksey Park 8-1 in the Under 13 B League.
Jacob Roberts’ goal was in vain for Hinksey.
James Haidar scored the only goal as Marston Saints beat Hanney Youth 1-0 in their D League clash.
In the same league, James Wood and Rory King struck for AFC Brightwell in their 2-0 win at Horspath Youth.

Bradley Morton, Kai Jones and Chelsea Cox each hit a hat-trick for Barton United in their 10-3 win at Headington Youth.
Kieran Hayman completed the scoring for Barton, with Theo Hilsdon (2) and Amr Adawi on target for Headington.
A tight clash between Horspath Lions Youth and Didcot Casuals Blue in the A League ended in a 0-0 draw.
Qais Fareed and Orgito Neli hit a brace apiece as East Oxford United won 4-2 at Cholsey Bluebirds in the C League.

Deisal Jordan (2) and Ryan Badenhorst scored in Benson United’s 3-0 victory over Crowmarsh Youth Orient in the D League.
Jamie Pick scored at both ends as St Edmunds drew 1-1 with their sister team St Edmunds Royals.
Pick opened the scoring, but was then extremly unlucky to see a shot from Royals take a wicked deflection off his outstretched leg with two minutes remaining and beat his own goalkeeper.
