KENNINGTON Athletic secured runners-up spot in the Oxford Mail Youth League’s Under 12 A Autumn League with a 4-0 victory over Didcot Town, writes PAUL LYON.

Goals from Romeo Pali, Josh Lewington, Josh Youngman and Charlie Fegan gave them second place over Horspath Youth on the head-to-head rule.

There was no giantkilling in the KO Trophy, but Division D team Crowmarsh Youth Orient gave Division C champions Abingdon United a scare.

Charlie Holtom scored for Crowmarsh, but strikes from Spencer Bustin and Dillan Grice ensured Abingdon progressed with a 2-1 victory.

Newly-promoted Bardwell started their Spring League campaign with a 3-1 win over Summertown Spartans in the Division B.

Charlie Howlett hit a brace and William Smith was also on target, with Philip Marceta grabbing a consolation for Spartans.

Florence Park played their first game in Division C of the Spring League following their promotion and carried on where they left off with a 2-1 win over Hinksey Park International.

Kane Watson and Kyle Emberton were on target for Park, with Kyle Hall scoring for Hinksey.

Dillon Sumner hit a hat-trick as Marston Saints beat St Edmunds 5-3 in the D Division.

James Fitzgerald and Joe Gibbs also scored for Saints with Jamie Pick, Jacob Chapman and an own goal completing the tally for St Edmunds.

Division E champions St Edmunds Royals won their first game in Division D, beating Abingdon Youth Yellows 3-0 thanks to Josh Richardson’s brace and a third from Nathan Bonney.

Jonny Hall hit all five goals in Wantage Town Juniors’ 5-3 win at Barton United.
