An investigation is under way after two tonnes of magnesium caught fire at a factory.
More than 30 firefighters were called to building firm Alcoa, in Southam Road, Banbury, at 10.30pm yesterday.
Six fire crews used sand and dry powder to extinguish a one-tonne palette of magnesium ingots, following the blaze at the factory's furnace.
A second palette of magnesium ingots on fire outside the factory was allowed to burn out under control, a spokesman for the fire service added.
