A hole measuring seven inches wide has appeared in Hillary Way, in Wheatley.
Resident Helen Wright, 35, said the hole appeared at the entrance to the road, adjoining Roman Road, a couple of weeks ago.
She said: “It started out the size of a 50p piece but it’s now a big problem since we have many children and elderly people living around here.
“Hopefully the issue will be fixed soon.”
Oxfordshire County Council spokeswoman Emily Reed said the council aimed to get the hole filled by yesterday night.
