DRIVERS immersed themselves in the world of Formula 1 racing with a 360-degree virtual experience.
Customers at Baynards Green Esso service station on the A43 near Ardley were challenged to take part in the #FuelYourSenses campaign and experience life as a race car driver.
Esso staged the event to celebrate a continued partnership with British Formula 1 Team McLaren-Honda.
Customers got into character with virtual experience goggles and headphones, playing their part in a race between McLaren racing team members Jenson Button, Kevin Magnussen and Stoffel Vandoorne.
Google Cardboard headsets – which allow people to use their phone like virtual reality goggles through apps and games – were also given away.
Esso employee Richard Scrase said: “It was great to see our customers’ reactions. It is a unique experience of being at the wheel of a Grand Prix racing car.”
The event took place on Friday and Saturday.
