A MAN from Oxford has been charged with child sexual exploitation offences.
Salik Miah, 33, from Ferry Hinksey Road, was charged this morning with one count of conspiracy to rape a girl, one count of rape of a girl, one count of arranging or facilitating the sexual exploitation of a child aged 13 to 17 and one count of arranging or facilitating the travel of another person with a view to exploitation.
He was arrested on suspicion of the offences yesterday.
The offences allegedly occurred between January 3, 2005 and March 27, 2007.
Miah is due to appear at Oxford Magistrates’ Court today.
A 37-year-old man from Oxford was also arrested yesterday in connection with child sexual exploitation offences in Oxford.
He has been released on police bail until October 20.
Both arrests were made as part of Operation Spur, an investigation into historic child sexual exploitation in Oxford.
