A MAN has been arrested after a police raid on Redbridge Hollow travellers’ site.
Officers in riot gear entered the site shortly before 2pm today and there was a large police presence outside the site and at Egrove Park, Kennington Road.
About four police cars and three vans were at the entrance of Egrove Park, which is owned by Oxford University, and officers were seen putting on protective clothing there before entering Redbridge Hollow.
Police spokesman James Williams said the force raided the site to make an arrest after an alleged breach of bail.
He said a 28-year-old man from Oxford was arrested for breaching bail conditions and is currently in police custody.
The travellers' site was raided by police and trading standards officers in October and three men were arrested in a separate incident.
