CAN someone from the highways department explain why there is a 30mph limit on the Eastern Bypass from The Slade turn to the flyover?

There are no works on this stretch.

There is just a line of cones and there has not been any activity for some time.

It appears that the water engineering work site has now shifted to the lane before the traffic lights with no need for any restrictions after these.

Is this just another example of over the top health and safety experts trying to make us road users’ lives even more difficult?
