Bypass best solution to A40 traffic congestion
THE best traffic solution to traffic congestion on the A40 would be a bypass taking all the traffic destined for London away from Oxford.
Perhaps there could be a link-up from the A40 to the roundabout just before the Pear Tree interchange in North Oxford.
Then off that a roundabout towards Kidlington, then a road linking the Kidlington roundabout to the M40 way past Oxford.
Another reason for it to be looked at – remember not all the traffic on the A40 wishes to go to London.
The influx on the new road would therefore not be the whole traffic flow of the A40.
