A MAN has been taken to the John Radcliffe Hospital in a life-threatening condition after collapsing in High Street near Carfax Tower.
According to South Central Ambulance Service, off-duty members of staff were passing by when the incident occurred.
Spokeswoman Catherine Morrow said: “Staff came across the patient in High Street so were there to help.
“They were in the right place at the right time to help this poorly man.”
The ambulance service was called at 11.37am and sent an extra ambulance crew, ambulance officer and rapid response vehicle.
The patient was then taken by road to the John Radcliffe.
