THE attempt by this minority government, elected by just 22 per cent of the registered electorate, to press-gang lorry drivers and buy to let landlords into enforcing their immigration policy is despicable.
We pay our politicians to carry out our will and enforce policy, don’t we? If immigration policy is now to be enforced by the haulage industry and buy-to-let landlords can we expect a substantial reduction in the cost of doing politics in this country? Don’t hold your breath too long in waiting for an answer.
