A PEDESTRIAN who was injured in a crash when a car left the road in Long Hanborough is still in hospital.
A silver Mercedes C200 left the road and collided with a wall and the pedestrian in Swan Lane, at about 7.30am on Wednesday last week.
It is thought the driver, in his 20s, had a medical episode when the collision happened.
The 44-year-old pedestrian broke his leg and is still being treated at the John Radcliffe Hospital in Oxford. At the time of the collision he was walking his dog, which later died from its injuries.
Officers said the driver was also taken to hospital.
Nearby resident Richard Corfield saw the crash and said the Mercedes ended up on its side, with the driver escaping through a window.
He said he and two binmen helped the pedestrian move away from the car. He said: “I thought the car was about to explode and it was imperative to get the pedestrian and his dog away from the scene.”
Police are now appealing for witnesses and anyone that saw the car travelling along the A4095 or Swan Lane.
Anyone with information should call traffic police on 101.
