PUPILS at Botley Primary School won a national competition for decorating the hoardings outside Waitrose’s new store in Oxford.
The school received the Ivor Goodsite award for their work on the front of the new supermarket which is being built in Botley Road.
A group of ten children aged seven to 11 from the school created the artwork, based on Abingdon Abbey.
They won medals, certificates and goody bags as well as a trophy and a Hoarding Competition banner.
Chief executive Edward Hardy said: “The competition is a great way for the industry to strengthen its relations with local communities and improve the overall image of construction.”
