Term ‘hero’ should be used more sparingly
DO YOU remember when the word ‘hero’ was really special and reserved for people that performed heroic deeds?
Now it is used very loosely and for much of the time for anyone that wears a uniform.
Newspapers must take a lot of the blame for this, including the Oxford Mail.
