FILMMAKER Hussain Hussainy has captured the beauty of Oxford in a short documentary entitled Visual Symphony.

The 39-year-old, known as Ali, who completed the six-minute piece as part of his college studies, has uploaded the video on YouTube and said he’s had some positive feedback.

Mr Hussainy, a student at creative media college the SAE Institute in Littlemore Park, chose to centre his project around Oxford after falling in love with the area when he moved to the city 15 years ago from Wolverhampton.

He said: “When you come to a new city you like it or you don’t like it. I loved Oxford at first sight. I just wanted to work on something that would show that.

“My lecturer helped me a lot with the project. It’s purely a concept of life in the city.”

Mr Hussainy lives in Egrove Close, just off Abingdon Road, with his wife Sakineh and two children Sabeen, four, and Noyan, six.

He spent several months filming and editing his documentary.

He chose to feature his favourite Oxford attractions in the documentary, such as the Sheldonian and the Bodleian Library.

Mr Hussainy also filmed a time lapse of the sun setting over South Park.
