An original illustration for the dust jacket of a novel by “Queen of Crime” PD James is set to go under the hammer.
Baroness James of Holland Park died aged 94 last October and was the critically-acclaimed novelist who created fictional policeman Adam Dalgliesh.
The artwork for the first edition of her novel The Black Tower will be auctioned next Wednesda at 11am at the Bonhams auction house in Banbury Road, Kidlington.
It is expected to sell for up to £700, Bonhams said.
