A man has been jailed for 51 months for burglary offences.
Police revealed yesterday that Nathan Bourton, of Dashwood Road, Oxford, was sentenced on July 16 at Oxford Crown Court after being convicted of one count of burglary and two counts of handling stolen goods.
On January 12 police went to a house in Oliver Road, Cowley, and discovered Bourton in the first floor bedroom. He jumped from a window, escaping with £500. But he was tracked down after leaving ID in the property.
The 33-year-old was also convicted of handling stolen goods from homes in Wytham Street and Newman Road last year.
Jewellery worth £7,780, a quantity of cash, headphones and Champagne were among the items stolen. He tried to sell some of the jewellery at a pawnbrokers in Oxford.
