TRAFFIC around the city is proving a nightmare with drivers experiencing heavy delays and congestion.
There is currently very slow traffic on A40 Northern Bypass Westbound from the Marston turn off to the Cutteslowe Roundabout.
Oxfordshire County Council has warned the works at both the Cutteslowe and Wolvercote Roundabouts would cause heavy disruption.
There is also very slow traffic on the Banbury Road and Woodstock Road Northbound.
Elsewhere there is spots of heavy traffic on A4142 Eastern Bypass between B480 Garsington Road and Littlemore roundabout.
Emily Reed, spokeswoman for Oxfordshire County Council, said: “Our advice for drivers is to plan their journeys according to their needs.
“Not everyone will be able to use an alternative route or mode of transport.
“If you have no alternative to driving through Cutteslowe or Wolvercote roundabouts, or both, then delays to your journey are very likely at peak times. However for many people using alternative routes into Oxford, which may involve travelling further on the A34 to go in via another direction, could be an option."

@TheOxfordMail The problems with A40 and the 2 roundabouts have been there for decades. Why do both roundabouts at same time, why 16months?
