THE artist’s impressions of Barton Park seem hideous to me. Who wants to live in an “imposing” building that looks like an industrial complex?
Where is the beauty, where is the blending with the landscape?
This is not an inner city renovation, but needs to have a Cotswold feel to it as it is on the edge of the city.
We are in danger of a wonderful opportunity being squandered. We need beautiful places for people to live – places that inspire community and caring, not concrete blocks that hark back to the worst architecture of the 1970s and 80s.
Oxford City Council, please rethink these plans.
