WITH Ashes fever spreading across the country – despite England’s hammering in the second test – an Oxfordshire book store has launched its own memorabilia exhibition.

Boundary Books, in Childrey, has honoured two cricketing legends from both Australia and England as the biggest contest continues at Lords this weekend.

The memorabilia on display features WG Grace of England and Victor Trumper of Australia, two former superstars of the game during the early 20th century.

And it includes the last bat Ashes legend Trumper used before he died aged 37.

Grace was an English cricketer who is considered one of their greatest players.

Store owner Mike Down said: “We have had quite a few people come in and see what is on display, which is more than usual as we get a lot of our customers online.

“The Trumper cricket bat is one of the main pieces. I bought it at an auction in Australia and found out it was the last bat he used, which was quite exciting.”
