WITH the General Election over, it will be interesting to see how many of the promises made by the Prime Minister David Cameron will be kept.
The week before the election saw Dave and Ed singing louder and louder what they would do should their party get an overall majority, echoing to the song “Anything you can do I can do better”.
Dave’s message got through.
Losing the election may be a blessing in disguise for Labour as I doubt the Conservatives will be able to fulfil the promises made. This time round they will not be able to blame Labour for the deficit or their coalition partner the Lib Dems for restricting them taking certain measures.
The Budget presented by the Chancellor George Osborne on July 8 could be the first step towards “Dave’s new world”. The rich appear to have got away with it, as the measures taken are heavily weighted against the poor.
