A decision on whether a hydroelectric power plant can be built in the Thames has been put back to give councillors more time to consider it.
A group of villagers put in the planning application to create a £3m power plant at Sandford Weir, which they say could generate enough power for 400 homes.
Vale of White Horse District Council has put back the decision, originally due to be made on July 7, to August 13. Spokeswoman Natalie Ellis said: “An extension has been agreed with the applicant to give more time to consider the application.”
