A local government housing expert has been drafted into a top new role at Oxford City Council.
Caroline Green, who formerly worked in a senior position at the Local Government Association (LGA), will start on September 1.
She is to take on responsibilities over housing, planning, infrastructure, economic growth and strategies to reduce inequality, as well as efforts to win devolution.
She will report directly to chief executive Peter Sloman and receive a salary which the council would only say was between £76,464 and £89,983.
Council leader Bob Price added: “Caroline will be a tremendous asset to the city.”
